Jon “The Stuttering Drummer” Renner
Jon has been playing drums for over 30 years. Throughout his entire drumming career he has essentially played it all.
He attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and studied under some of the greats – including Mike Mangini, Ralph Peterson, Sergio Bellotti, and John Ramsay. Upon completing his studies he moved to NYC, where he continued to tour and record.
Years later he left NYC for Austin, TX where he currently resides teaching, performing, and recording with various groups throughout TX and abroad.
Jon is a very versatile drummer with experience in musical productions, orchestras, as well as with pop, metal, country, and rock artists alike. He has shared the stage alongside musicians Kenny Metcalf, Victor Orlando, Killswitch Engage, Hatebreed, Crypta, and many others.
Jon is very excited to join the Techra Family!
