Drumming, playing samples live, or working behind the scenes, Marcelo Effori (a.k.a. Loco Sosa) is one of the most sought-after musicians in São Paulo’s music scene. As a founding member of the band Los Pirata, he has also collaborated with artists such as Agridoce (Pitty & Martin), Curumin, Meno Del Picchia, Roberta Campos, Arnaldo Antunes, Lu Horta, Paulo Miklos, and Ana Cañas, among others.
He studied drums under Lilian Carmona at the UNICAMP Arts Institute (Campinas, SP – 1991 to 1994) and worked as a drummer and percussionist on two popular Brazilian TV late shows: Agora é Tarde (hosted by Rafinha Bastos on Band TV, 2014–2015) and Conversa com Bial (hosted by Pedro Bial on Globo TV, 2017–2019).
Additionally, he is a voice-over artist, graduating from SENAC (São Paulo, SP – 2008 to 2009), and a sound engineer with training from the Oxford School of Audio in England.

He recently completed his Audio and Video Post-Production degree at Trebas Institute.
